The deadline for candidates to register for the IIT JAM 2024 exam has been extended by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. According to the updated schedule, applicants have until October 20 to submit their JAM 2024 applications. Prior to this, students had until October 13 to submit their application for JAM 2024.
Candidates who have not yet completed their JAM 2024 registration process can do so by visiting the official website – jam.iitm.ac.in. Those who are enrolling for the entrance test for the first time must ensure that they fill out the registration and application form accurately. The JAM 2024 is slated to take place on February 11, 2024, and the admission cards will be made available on January 8.
Candidates must have completed their undergraduate studies or be in the last year of an undergraduate programme in order to be considered for JAM 2024. Foreign nationals holding degrees for Indian institutes are also eligible to apply.
The JAM 2024 is set to be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) manner, with seven different test papers: Biotechnology, Physics, Mathematical Statistics, Economics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.JAM 2024 will take place in two sessions in February 2024. The first takes place in the morning from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM for Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics, and the other in the afternoon from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM for Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology, Economics, and Physics. The exam is designed for students who desire to pursue MSc, M.Tech, or PhD programmes at famous Indian universities such as IITs, NITs, and ISCs.

Step 1: Go to the official JAM 2024 website.
Step 2: On the site, click the register link.
Step 3: Fill out all of the necessary credentials to finish the applications.
Step 4: Submit your JAM 2024 online application form.
Step 5: Attach all of the required paperwork to the application form.
Step 6: Pay the JAM 2024 application fee and click the “final submission” link.
IIT JAM 2024: application fee
According to IIT JAM 2024 brochure, for applicants in the female, SC, ST, and PWD categories, the application fee for one paper is Rs 900, while the fee for two papers is Rs 1250. For the remaining categories, the application cost is Rs 1800 for one paper and Rs 2500 for two papers.
