PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the military’s firm resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country, stating that terrorists and their misleading narratives will be completely defeated with the unwavering support of the nation.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief expressed these views during his visit to Peshawar, where he was briefed on the prevailing security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, and border management measures. General Asim Munir emphasized that the armed forces, backed by the resilient citizens of Pakistan, remain fully committed to frustrating the nefarious designs of hostile elements attempting to disrupt peace and stability in the region.

The military leadership’s visit comes amid heightened security operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to neutralize insurgent threats and safeguard local communities. Highlighting the sacrifices of the security forces and law enforcement agencies, the COAS reiterated that no individual or group would be allowed to challenge the writ of the state or propagate extremist ideologies under any pretext.

The armed forces, in close coordination with provincial authorities and intelligence agencies, continue to execute intelligence-based operations to ensure long-term peace, socio-economic development, and public safety across the province.
