Punjab Launches Online Applications for Reserved Medical and Dental Seats

LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced the commencement of online applications for reserved seats in public medical and dental colleges across Punjab, starting October 26. A total of 214 MBBS and 38 BDS seats are allocated for students from other provinces and regions, aiming to enhance educational access and diversity in the medical field.

UHS officials emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that it provides an opportunity for deserving candidates from various backgrounds to pursue their medical education. The online application process is designed to streamline admissions and ensure transparency. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply directly through the UHS portal to secure their place.

This move is expected to significantly impact the healthcare landscape in Punjab, as it not only promotes inclusivity but also addresses the growing demand for medical professionals in the region. By opening these seats to students from outside Punjab, the government aims to foster a more diverse and skilled workforce in the healthcare sector.

As the application window opens, UHS is set to provide further guidance and support for applicants. Candidates are advised to stay updated on the admissions process and prepare for any upcoming assessments that may be part of the selection criteria.
