Army Command Warns of Decisive Action Against Any Agitation Threats
RAWALPINDI: The top brass of the Pakistan Army issued a stern warning on Friday, stating that any attempts to incite unrest or replicate the disturbances seen on May 9 will be met with “decisive force.” This declaration was made during the 277th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), conveyed that the conference emphasized the critical need for internal stability. It resolved that any provocations aimed at creating a May 9-like situation would be addressed without hesitation or discrimination, reinforcing the rule of law.
This warning underscores the military’s commitment to maintaining order amid rising tensions. The ISPR highlighted the importance of blending kinetic and non-kinetic measures in counter-terrorism efforts, advocating for grassroots governance and strategic public engagement to foster a more stable environment.
Looking ahead, the military leadership is expected to continue monitoring the security landscape closely, ensuring a high state of readiness. The emphasis on proactive measures suggests that further discussions and strategies will be developed to address potential threats to national stability.
