Farmers to Receive Good News on Wheat Prices, Says Federal Minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain announced that farmers can expect positive news regarding wheat prices this season. Speaking to the media during a visit to the Agriculture Expo, he highlighted that the government had set a support price of 3,500 rupees per maund last year.

Hussain emphasized that this year, the government aims to provide better rates for wheat, which is crucial for the agricultural sector and the livelihoods of farmers. He noted that advancements in drone technology will also play a significant role in enhancing crop management and productivity.

This announcement comes at a time when farmers are grappling with rising costs and economic pressures. Improved wheat prices could alleviate some financial burdens and encourage increased production, which is vital for food security in the country.

Looking ahead, the government plans to implement further measures to support the agricultural sector, including potential meetings with stakeholders to discuss strategies for maximizing crop yields and ensuring fair pricing.
