Sindh Govt Rejects Claims Over Karachi MDCAT Results in Letter to PMDC
KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially rejected all objections and claims regarding the recent Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) results concerning candidates from Karachi, dispatching a comprehensive clarification to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
In a detailed response submitted by the Sindh Health Department, provincial authorities systematically addressed the grievances raised by students and political groups concerning alleged score discrepancies and test irregularities. The department maintained that the entry examination was conducted with complete transparency, strict security measures, and full adherence to established regulatory frameworks.
The ongoing controversy over MDCAT scores has sparked anxiety among thousands of pre-medical aspirants and their families across Sindh, leading to protests and demands for independent re-evaluations. By defending the integrity of the testing process, the provincial administration aims to prevent delays in the medical college admissions cycle and protect the upcoming academic session.
Following the receipt of the provincial response, the PMDC is set to review the health department’s submission before formalizing the admission schedule. Regulatory officials reiterated that standard redressal committees remain accessible to evaluate genuine technical grievances on an individual basis.
