FBR Keeps Tax Offices Open on October 31 to Boost Revenue Collection
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that all tax offices will remain operational on Saturday, October 31, to facilitate the collection of taxes and duties. This decision aims to ensure that revenue targets are met as the fiscal year progresses.
According to the FBR’s official instructions, Large Taxpayer Offices, Corporate Tax Offices, and Regional Tax Offices will function during their regular hours. Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue have been directed to oversee operations and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
This initiative is crucial for the government as it seeks to bolster its revenue amid ongoing economic challenges. The extended hours are expected to provide taxpayers with additional opportunities to fulfill their obligations, potentially leading to improved fiscal health for the country.
Looking ahead, the FBR plans to implement further measures to enhance tax compliance and streamline processes for taxpayers. Stakeholders are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to settle their dues before the deadline.
