HEC Launches International Research Fellowship for PhD Students
ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the opening of applications for Batch 60 of the International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP), providing Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) PhD students with a unique six-month research opportunity abroad. Applications will remain open until October 30, 2026, allowing eligible candidates ample time to apply.
This initiative is aimed at full-time PhD students enrolled in HEC-recognized universities across Pakistan. The program seeks to enhance the research capabilities of students by facilitating international exposure and collaboration with global academic institutions. An HEC spokesperson emphasized the importance of this initiative in fostering a culture of research and innovation among young scholars.
