Fazl Signals Street Agitation Against Government’s Resource Policies
MANSEHRA: Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), announced on Tuesday that his party is prepared to initiate street agitation to protect the nation’s natural resources and uphold democratic rights. Speaking at a workers convention, he emphasized that the government is attempting to divide the nation and exploit its resources, a move he firmly opposes.
“The government wants to divide the nation and create conflict to plunder natural resources. We will never allow it to undermine democracy, politics, and the rights of people,” Rahman stated, rallying his supporters to stand against what he termed anti-people policies. His remarks come as former Pakistan Peoples Party divisional president Malik Waheed joined JUI-F, signaling a shift in political alliances.
Rahman urged his energized supporters to remain steadfast, asserting, “I see you as the strongest force in the country. You must stand firm against oppression and adversity, as activists of no other party dare to stand up at this critical juncture.” His call to action reflects a growing sentiment among opposition parties to challenge the current government’s policies.
Looking ahead, JUI-F plans to mobilize its base for protests aimed at raising awareness about the government’s resource management and its implications for citizens’ rights. The party’s actions could significantly impact the political landscape as they seek to galvanize public support against perceived injustices.
