Punjab Traffic Police Halts Driving License Services for System Upgrade

LAHORE: The Punjab Traffic Police has announced a temporary suspension of driving license services across the province as it undertakes an upgrade of the Driving License Issuance Management System (DLIMS). This suspension affects various services, including the issuance of new driving licenses, learner permits, license renewals, upgrades, and category changes.

Officials stated that the upgrade is essential for enhancing the efficiency and security of the licensing process. During this period, online applications, verification, license tracking, and other digital services will also be unavailable. The authorities have urged citizens to plan accordingly and avoid visiting licensing centers until the upgrade is complete.

This suspension is expected to impact thousands of residents who rely on these services for their daily commuting needs. The upgrade aims to streamline operations and reduce wait times in the long run, but the immediate disruption may cause inconvenience for many.
