Pakistan Rejects Afghan Taliban’s Accusations Over Fighting in Nuristan

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has firmly rejected claims made by the Afghan Taliban that Pakistan is responsible for recent fighting in Nuristan. The ministry characterized these allegations as attempts to divert attention from internal repression, discord, and instability within Afghanistan.

In a statement, the ministry emphasized that such accusations are unfounded and serve to distract from the Taliban’s own challenges. The remarks came in response to statements from the Afghan Minister for Border Affairs, who suggested that Pakistan was involved in the conflict.
