Khadijah Program Empowers Women Entrepreneurs to Access Global Markets
KARACHI: The Pakistan Single Window (PSW) launched the Khadijah Women Entrepreneurship Program in Karachi, aimed at equipping women entrepreneurs with essential knowledge, financial resources, and institutional support to facilitate their entry into international trade. The session, titled “Access to Opportunity: Enabling Women Entrepreneurs,” took place recently and highlighted the importance of empowering women in the business sector.
During the event, officials emphasized the need for targeted initiatives that support female entrepreneurs in overcoming barriers to trade. “This program is a significant step towards creating an inclusive economic environment where women can thrive and contribute to the national economy,” said a spokesperson from PSW. The collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce underscores the commitment to fostering a supportive ecosystem for women in business.
The implications of the Khadijah Program extend beyond individual success stories; it represents a broader movement towards gender equality in the economic landscape of Pakistan. By providing women with the tools and connections necessary for international trade, the initiative aims to boost economic growth and enhance the country’s global competitiveness.
Looking ahead, PSW plans to organize additional sessions and workshops to further support women entrepreneurs. The next event is expected to focus on digital marketing strategies and access to e-commerce platforms, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of global markets.
