Federal Minister Claims KP Government Received 800 Billion Rupees Without Accountability

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has alleged that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has failed to provide accountability for the 800 billion rupees allocated to it over the past decade. He emphasized that despite the federal government’s cooperation, the provincial administration continues to mislead the public.

During a segment on ARY News’ program Borders Talks, Dr. Chaudhry stated that the significant financial support was intended to bolster peace and stability in the province. However, he criticized the KP government for not delivering on its promises and lacking transparency regarding the funds received.

This revelation raises serious concerns about governance and financial management in KP, a province that has faced numerous challenges related to security and development. The lack of accountability could undermine public trust and hinder future federal support, which is crucial for ongoing peace initiatives.

Looking ahead, the federal government plans to implement a new strategy aimed at enhancing security and governance in KP. Further discussions are expected in upcoming parliamentary sessions to address these issues and ensure that provincial governments are held accountable for their financial dealings.
