Interior Minister Claims KP Chief Minister Did Not Join Military Operations

LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has not participated in any military operations alongside the armed forces. This revelation raises questions about the provincial government’s engagement in security matters amid ongoing challenges in the region.

During a recent press conference, Naqvi emphasized the importance of collaboration between provincial and federal authorities in addressing security issues. He noted that the Chief Minister’s absence from military operations could hinder effective governance and response to threats. “The situation demands unified action, and the Chief Minister’s involvement is crucial,” Naqvi remarked.

This statement comes at a time when KP is facing significant security challenges, including rising incidents of terrorism and unrest. The lack of direct involvement from the provincial leadership in military operations may lead to public concerns regarding the government’s commitment to ensuring safety and stability in the region.

Looking ahead, analysts suggest that the provincial government may need to reassess its approach to security collaboration with the military. Upcoming meetings between provincial and federal officials are expected to address these concerns and outline a more integrated strategy for tackling security threats in KP.
