Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boosts Compensation for Police Martyrs and Injured Personnel

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi announced a substantial increase in compensation for police martyrs and injured personnel on Friday, alongside plans for fresh recruitment to address 17,000 vacant positions within the provincial police force.

The revised compensation package stipulates that families of police personnel, from constables to inspectors, will now receive Rs17 million. This initiative aims to honor the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers and provide financial support to their families during difficult times.

This increase in compensation reflects the provincial government’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of police personnel, who often face significant risks in maintaining law and order. It also underscores the importance of bolstering the police force to ensure effective governance and public safety in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Looking ahead, the provincial government is expected to initiate recruitment drives soon to fill the vacant posts, which will not only strengthen the police force but also create job opportunities for the youth in the region.
