Punjab Launches Innovative Classroom and Library-on-Wheels Projects

LAHORE: The Punjab Literacy Department has announced plans to introduce Classroom on Wheels and Library on Wheels projects next year, aimed at enhancing educational access across the province. This initiative was discussed during a recent meeting chaired by Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, who emphasized the importance of innovative solutions to tackle educational challenges.

During the meeting, officials provided updates on existing literacy projects and outlined the objectives of the new initiatives. Minister Hayat stated, “These projects will bring education directly to the doorsteps of students, especially in remote areas where traditional schooling is not feasible. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their location.”

The introduction of mobile classrooms and libraries is expected to significantly impact literacy rates in Punjab, addressing the barriers faced by children in accessing quality education. By providing resources and learning environments on wheels, the government aims to foster a culture of learning and curiosity among young learners, ultimately contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.

Looking ahead, the Literacy Department plans to finalize project details and initiate pilot programs by early next year. Further meetings will be held to discuss logistics, funding, and partnerships with local communities to ensure the successful implementation of these innovative educational solutions.
