Balochistan CM Bugti Calls for Unity on National Security Issues
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has emphasized the importance of treating law and order and national security in Balochistan as issues that transcend political differences. In a recent statement, Bugti urged political leaders to prioritize these critical matters above party politics.
Bugti highlighted the necessity of basing comparisons between the governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan on ground realities and practical measures, particularly in the context of terrorism and national security. He expressed his respect for JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, noting their personal relationship is founded on mutual respect.
In his remarks shared on social media, Bugti acknowledged that the JUI-F and its leadership have also faced the threat of terrorism. He expressed hope that Rehman would consider the state’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and recognize the sacrifices made by security forces when discussing this sensitive national issue.
The call for unity comes at a time when security challenges continue to pose significant threats to stability in the region. Bugti’s appeal aims to foster a collaborative approach among political factions to enhance national security and public safety.
