Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Increases Daily Wheat Supply Quota to 4,000 Tons

KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: The provincial government has announced an increase in the daily wheat supply quota from 3,000 tons to 4,000 tons, following directives from the Peshawar High Court and the Cabinet Oversight Committee.

The Department of Food in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirmed the decision, emphasizing the need to ensure adequate wheat availability for the region. This adjustment aims to address the rising demand for wheat amid ongoing supply challenges.

This increase in the wheat supply quota is expected to alleviate food shortages in the province, benefiting local consumers and stabilizing market prices. Officials believe that this measure will help mitigate the impact of inflation on essential food items.

Moving forward, the provincial government plans to monitor the wheat distribution closely and may convene further meetings to assess the situation and make necessary adjustments to the supply chain.
