Capt Safdar Seeks Verification of JCP Member Bhoon’s Law Degree Authenticity
ISLAMABAD: Former National Assembly member retired Capt Muhammad Safdar has lodged a formal complaint with the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP), requesting an urgent verification of the educational qualifications and professional credentials of JCP member Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon.
In his complaint, addressed to the JCP secretary for consideration by the chairperson and members, Safdar alleges that Bhoon’s law degree, which facilitated his entry into the legal profession, may not be genuine and could potentially be fake or otherwise unverifiable. The complaint urges the Commission to independently verify the original records related to Bhoon’s qualifications.
This development raises significant concerns regarding the integrity of the legal profession in Pakistan, as the authenticity of educational credentials is paramount for maintaining public trust in judicial institutions. The outcome of this verification process could have broader implications for the credibility of the JCP and its members.
As the JCP prepares to address this complaint, it remains to be seen how swiftly they will act on Safdar’s request and what measures will be taken to ensure transparency in the verification process. Stakeholders in the legal community are closely monitoring the situation.
