ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Railways has officially approved the recruitment of 829 positions under the Balochistan quota, as announced by Federal Minister for Railways Mohammad Hanif Abbasi. This decision encompasses vacancies from Grade 1 to Grade 16, aimed at bolstering the workforce in the region.
Minister Abbasi emphasized the importance of these recruitments during a press conference, stating that 805 of the positions will be allocated specifically to the Quetta Division. He highlighted that this initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance employment opportunities in Balochistan, a province that has historically faced economic challenges.
The approval of these positions is expected to have significant implications for the local economy, providing much-needed job opportunities for the youth of Balochistan. This move is also seen as a step towards addressing regional disparities in employment and fostering economic development in an area that has long been underrepresented in national job markets.
Looking ahead, the Pakistan Railways is set to initiate the recruitment process shortly, with further details on application procedures and timelines to be released in the coming weeks. This recruitment drive is anticipated to attract a large number of applicants, reflecting the high demand for government jobs in the region.
