Cement Dispatches Surge 5.95% Year-on-Year in September 2026

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s cement dispatches experienced a notable increase of 5.95% year-on-year, reaching 4.621 million tons in September 2026, as reported by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). This growth is primarily attributed to a robust domestic demand for cement.

Domestic dispatches rose by 7.35%, totaling 3.788 million tons, while exports remained relatively stable at 832,173 tons. The data indicates a positive trend in the construction sector, reflecting increased activity in both residential and commercial projects across the country.

This rise in cement sales is significant for Pakistan’s economy, as it suggests a rebound in construction activities, which are crucial for economic growth and job creation. Analysts believe that sustained domestic demand may lead to further investments in infrastructure and housing, bolstering the overall economic landscape.

Looking ahead, industry experts anticipate continued growth in cement sales, driven by ongoing government infrastructure projects and a recovering real estate market. Stakeholders are closely monitoring these trends to adapt to the evolving market dynamics.
