registration of seminaries

QUETTA: Quetta Division Commissioner Zeeshan Lashari has ordered the swift registration of 96 unregistered religious seminaries in the region, aiming to enhance public education and health services across the division.

During a recent meeting of the Divisional Monitoring Committee, which included deputy commissioners and representatives from law enforcement and federal agencies, Mr. Lashari emphasized the need for expedited processes. He instructed the Special Branch to provide updated geographic details for the seminaries and urged the Balochistan Charity Registration Authority to accelerate their registration.

This initiative is part of broader efforts to improve governance and public services in Quetta, addressing concerns over unregulated seminaries that may contribute to social issues. The meeting also reviewed counterterrorism measures, focusing on suspect profiling and intelligence coordination, with officials noting that records of 120 individuals listed under the Fourth Schedule have been uploaded to the BISA tracking dashboard.

Looking ahead, officials are expected to implement the registration process promptly, with ongoing assessments of public education and health services to ensure compliance and effectiveness in the region.
