Government Extends Vehicle Fitness Certificate Deadline to December 31

ISLAMABAD: The government has announced an extension for private vehicle owners to obtain fitness certificates, pushing the deadline to December 31. This decision grants motorists an additional 45 days to complete the necessary certification process, which was previously set for November 15.

Officials from the Transport Ministry emphasized the importance of vehicle fitness for road safety and compliance with regulations. The extension aims to accommodate vehicle owners who may have faced challenges in meeting the original deadline, ensuring that all vehicles on the road are safe and roadworthy.

This extension is expected to alleviate concerns among citizens regarding compliance and potential penalties. It reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing road safety standards while considering the practical difficulties faced by vehicle owners during the certification process.

As the new deadline approaches, vehicle owners are urged to prioritize obtaining their fitness certificates to avoid last-minute rushes. The Transport Ministry plans to conduct awareness campaigns to inform the public about the importance of vehicle fitness and the certification process.
