Pakistan’s Top Textile Firms Report Rs. 51.9 Billion Profit in FY26

KARACHI: Pakistan’s leading 20 listed textile companies have reported a remarkable combined profit of Rs. 51.9 billion for the fiscal year 2026, reflecting an 11% increase from the previous year, as detailed in a recent report by Topline Securities. This growth is attributed to lower finance costs and reduced effective tax rates, which have positively impacted the earnings of these firms.

The textile sector, a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economy, generated combined sales of Rs. 1.4 trillion during the same period. Analysts suggest that the improved financial performance of these companies is a promising sign for the industry, which has faced numerous challenges in recent years. “The reduction in finance costs has played a crucial role in enhancing profitability, allowing firms to reinvest in operations and expand their market reach,” said a spokesperson from Topline Securities.

This significant profit increase not only underscores the resilience of the textile sector but also highlights its vital role in the broader economic landscape of Pakistan. As the country grapples with various economic challenges, the textile industry’s performance could provide a much-needed boost to employment and exports, contributing to overall economic stability.

Looking ahead, industry stakeholders are optimistic about continued growth, with expectations of further investments and innovations in textile manufacturing. Upcoming trade fairs and exhibitions are anticipated to showcase the sector’s advancements and attract international buyers, potentially enhancing Pakistan’s position in the global textile market.
