Interior Minister Urges PTI to Collaborate in Fight Against Terrorism

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has called on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to join forces in the ongoing battle against terrorism. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Sanaullah emphasized the need for unity among political factions to effectively combat the rising threat of extremism in the country.

During his address, Sanaullah stated, “We hope that PTI will cooperate with us in the fight against terrorism, as this is a national issue that transcends political differences.” He highlighted recent incidents of violence that have underscored the urgency of a collective response to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.

The minister’s remarks come amid increasing concerns over security in Pakistan, particularly following a series of attacks attributed to militant groups. The call for collaboration reflects a broader recognition that political stability and security are interlinked, and that a united front is essential for addressing the challenges posed by terrorism.

Looking ahead, Sanaullah indicated that the government plans to convene a national security meeting involving all major political parties to discuss strategies for enhancing security measures and fostering cooperation. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive framework for addressing the root causes of terrorism and ensuring a safer environment for the populace.
