KP Police Propose Up to 120 Percent Allowance Boost in Salary Summary

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police department has finalized a comprehensive administrative summary recommending a substantial pay hike for its personnel, featuring a proposed increase of up to 120 percent in specialized allowances. The strategic proposal has been formally submitted to KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi for approval and executive review, marking a pivotal step toward improving the operational capacity and financial welfare of the provincial force.

According to senior departmental officials, the newly drafted summary outlines a series of key financial adjustments aimed at eliminating long-standing pay inequities between KP Police personnel and their counterparts in other provinces and federal law enforcement agencies. The proposal places specific emphasis on special risk allowances, operational stipends, and enhanced logistical support for frontline police officers stationed in remote, vulnerable, and counter-terrorism security corridors across the region.

The movement to boost KP Police salaries comes at a critical juncture when the province is navigating complex law and order dynamics and heightened security obligations. Provincial authorities note that competitive compensation is essential to sustaining high morale, mitigating financial distress among lower-tier personnel, and reinforcing institutional integrity. Upgrading police allowances is expected to enhance recruit retention and bolster the overall operational readiness of law enforcement officers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Following initial discussions with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, the financial framework will be reviewed in close coordination with the provincial finance ministry to evaluate its overall impact on the state treasury. Final approval is anticipated during upcoming executive cabinet sessions, after which the revised compensation package will be formally incorporated into the provincial fiscal allocation and disbursed to active personnel.
