Bait-ul-Mal Partners With FATA University To Award Scholarships To 50 Students

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has signed a landmark agreement with FATA University to grant comprehensive educational scholarships to 50 deserving students, facilitating higher education access for underprivileged youth in the region.

The memorandum of understanding was formalized during an official signing ceremony in Peshawar. Under the terms of the agreement, PBM will cover tuition fees and educational expenses for selected students who face severe financial constraints, ensuring they can complete their degree programs without disruption.

Higher education access in the newly merged tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has historically been limited by socio-economic challenges and infrastructural deficits. PBM officials stated that expanding safety-net initiatives to regional universities is critical for fostering youth empowerment, reducing dropout rates, and promoting long-term economic development in marginalized communities.

Following the signing, FATA University’s financial aid committee will commence the screening process to identify eligible candidates based on merit and financial need for the ongoing academic year. PBM leadership reaffirmed its commitment to establishing similar academic partnerships with other tertiary institutions across the province in the near future.
