Balochistan Govt Announces Fully Funded Foreign PhD Scholarships for Youth
QUETTA: In a major initiative aimed at empowering the province’s youth, the Balochistan government has officially announced a comprehensive overseas doctoral scholarship programme for talented and high-achieving scholars. The fully funded foreign doctorate initiative, launched under the auspices of the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF), seeks to provide deserving students from across the province access to advanced research opportunities at globally renowned international universities.
According to official provincial spokespersons, the merit-based scholarship package is designed to target high-priority disciplines, including engineering, emerging sciences, technology, healthcare, and social sciences. Under the BEEF framework, selected candidates will receive full financial coverage, incorporating university tuition fees, international travel allowances, health insurance, and monthly living stipends for the entire duration of their doctoral degree programmes abroad.
The policy decision comes at a critical juncture as provincial authorities intensify efforts to build sustainable human capital and bridge academic deficits across Balochistan.
