QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz have reached a consensus to bolster cooperation on Safe City projects in Balochistan, aiming to enhance their effectiveness and modernize security measures.

During a recent meeting, Bugti requested support from Nawaz, who promptly directed relevant authorities to extend institutional assistance to the Balochistan Safe City Authority. This collaboration will focus on improving security monitoring systems, providing technical support, and enhancing staff training.

The joint initiative signifies a crucial step towards strengthening public safety in Balochistan, where ongoing projects are already underway in nine cities. The partnership is expected to facilitate the exchange of expertise and experience, ultimately benefiting citizens by creating safer urban environments.

Looking ahead, both provincial governments plan to hold further discussions to outline specific strategies and timelines for implementing these enhancements, ensuring that the Safe City projects meet contemporary security demands.
