Buraq Automobile Launches Local Assembly for Italian and Chinese Bikes in Pakistan
KARACHI: Buraq Automobile is set to transform Pakistan’s premium motorcycle market by establishing a local assembly plant for high-displacement Italian and Chinese motorcycles. This initiative marks a significant shift from the previous model where these premium bikes were imported solely as Completely Built Units (CBUs).
The company, which currently serves as the official importer and distributor for renowned brands such as Benelli, Moto Morini, and QJMOTOR, aims to enhance accessibility and affordability for motorcycle enthusiasts in Pakistan. “This local assembly will not only reduce costs but also cater to the growing demand for high-quality motorcycles in the region,” said a company spokesperson.
This development is expected to have broader implications for the local economy, potentially creating jobs and fostering a competitive market for premium motorcycles. As the demand for high-performance bikes rises among Pakistani consumers, Buraq’s move could stimulate further investments in the automotive sector.
Looking ahead, Buraq Automobile plans to finalize the location for the assembly plant and begin operations within the next year. The company is also exploring partnerships with local suppliers to enhance its production capabilities.
