Cadets Commissioned as PMA Kakul Holds Prestigious Passing Out Parade
ABBOTTABAD: A grand passing out parade was held at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday, marking the successful completion of rigorous training courses by graduating cadets who have now been formally commissioned into the armed forces.
Commander National Strategic Command, Lieutenant General Syed Amer Raza, attended the solemn ceremony as the chief guest, reviewing the parade and distributing prestigious trophies, medals, and academic distinctions among the top-performing cadets. The graduating cohorts, comprising cadets from multiple institutional courses, marched past the saluting dais in crisp formation, displaying exceptional precision, discipline, and military drills before senior serving officers, foreign military attachés, and proud family members.
Addressing the newly commissioned officers, military leadership emphasized that the modern battlefield requires cognitive resilience, technological adeptness, and unwavering adherence to constitutional duty amidst an evolving regional security landscape. The institutional output of PMA Kakul remains central to maintaining Pakistan’s strategic equilibrium and conventional deterrence, preparing young leaders to face emerging hybrid threats and operational challenges across complex frontiers.
Following the parade, the newly commissioned second lieutenants will report to their designated regiments, corps, and frontline formations across the country to commence operational service. Senior defense officials noted that continuous professional modernization within military academies ensures the nation’s defense apparatus remains combat-ready, adaptable, and aligned with national security priorities.
