CDF Munir Vows to Intensify Campaign Against Indian-Sponsored Terrorism

PESHAWAR: Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir has pledged that Pakistan’s armed forces will relentlessly pursue their counterterrorism campaign against Indian-sponsored terrorist groups. During a visit to the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar, Munir emphasized the military’s commitment to ‘hit them hard wherever they are,’ as stated by the military’s media wing on Friday.

Munir’s remarks came after a comprehensive briefing on the current security landscape, ongoing counterterrorism operations, and border management strategies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He commended the professionalism and morale of the armed forces, urging them to maintain vigilance and uphold the highest standards of operational readiness to effectively counter emerging threats.

This declaration underscores the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly regarding cross-border terrorism. Munir’s statements reflect a broader strategy aimed at reinforcing national security and addressing the challenges posed by militant groups allegedly supported by India.

Looking ahead, the military is expected to intensify its operations in the region, with a focus on enhancing coordination among security forces and improving intelligence-sharing mechanisms. The commitment to counterterrorism will likely shape future military strategies and operations in the area.
