Facilitators Hindering Counter-Terrorism in KP No Longer Exist: DG ISPR

DG ISPR counter terrorism

RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) declared that facilitators who previously created obstacles in counter-terrorism operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are no longer present, reinforcing the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism from the region.

Addressing the press, the military spokesman highlighted that intelligence-based operations against militant networks have yielded significant results, neutralizing key operational nodes and breaking the logistics chains that supported insurgent activities. He emphasized that security forces, along with law enforcement agencies, have dismantled the support structures that enabled terrorists to find safe havens or administrative leverage within local jurisdictions.

The announcement comes amid a broader national effort to stabilize security across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan following a surge in cross-border and localized attacks. Officials noted that political and logistical friction, which formerly hindered rapid intelligence execution, has been effectively addressed through enhanced civil-military coordination and targeted operational strategies.

Moving forward, the military leadership reaffirmed its resolve to sustain momentum under the updated National Action Plan framework. Comprehensive operations will continue alongside provincial authorities to ensure long-term peace, border security, and the complete eradication of extremist elements from the province.
