Federal Employees to Access Welfare Grants via New Online Portal

ISLAMABAD: Federal government employees and their beneficiaries will soon have the ability to apply for welfare grants and track their claims through a newly developed online portal by the National Information Technology Board (NITB). This initiative aims to streamline the application process for the Federal Employees Benevolent and Group Insurance Funds (FEB&GIF), transitioning from manual submissions to a digital format.

The NITB is spearheading this project to enhance efficiency and accessibility for government employees. An official from the NITB stated, “This digital portal will not only simplify the application process but also provide real-time tracking of claims, ensuring transparency and timely assistance for our employees and their families.”

This development is expected to significantly improve the welfare support system for federal employees, making it easier for them to access necessary financial assistance.
