Gas Supply Disruption Scheduled in Rawalpindi for Pipeline Work

RAWALPINDI: Gas supply will be temporarily suspended in several areas of Rawalpindi city and cantonment from 8:30 PM on October 17 until 6 AM on October 18. This interruption is due to essential pipeline work related to the Peshawar Road underpass project.

A spokesperson for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) confirmed that the shutdown is necessary to facilitate the connection of new pipelines as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements. Residents in affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled outage.

This temporary disruption in gas supply is expected to impact daily activities for many households and businesses in Rawalpindi. The local economy may experience minor inconveniences, particularly for those reliant on gas for cooking and heating during the cooler months.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated on any further announcements from SNGPL regarding the completion of the work and the restoration of gas supply. The company aims to minimize disruption and ensure a smooth transition back to normal service.
