Government Reduces Petrol and Diesel Prices Ahead of October 1st

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced a reduction in petrol and diesel prices effective from October 1st, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on citizens amid rising inflation.

The Ministry of Finance confirmed that petrol prices will decrease by PKR 10 per liter, while diesel prices will see a reduction of PKR 8 per liter. This decision comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to manage fuel costs and provide relief to the public, especially in light of recent economic challenges.

This price cut is expected to have significant implications for the economy, potentially easing transportation costs and impacting the overall inflation rate.
