M-4 Motorway Expansion

ISLAMABAD: Communication Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced on Sunday that the expansion of the Faisalabad-Pindi-Bhattian Motorway (M4) from four to six lanes is set to be completed by the start of next year. This project aims to modernize the motorway, providing a significant upgrade for commuters in the region.

During a visit to the construction site, Khan emphasized that the timely completion of the M-4 expansion project fulfills a long-standing demand from the people of Faisalabad, which has been pending for 30 years. The 53-kilometer stretch of the motorway is currently undergoing rapid development, and the minister expressed optimism about its transformation into a state-of-the-art highway.

The upgraded M4 Motorway will feature enhanced landscaping, including trees planted along both sides, green belts in the central section, and date palm trees to beautify the route. Additionally, the project will establish comfortable rest areas for travelers, significantly improving the travel experience between Pindi Bhattian and Faisalabad.

As the project progresses, Khan assured that the government is committed to delivering this modern infrastructure as a New Year gift to the residents of Faisalabad. The expansion is expected to ease traffic congestion and promote economic activity in the region, making it a vital development for local communities.
