Hafiz Naeem Criticizes Government Over Water Supply Issues in Karachi
KARACHI: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, has sharply criticized the provincial government for its failure to address the ongoing water supply crisis in Karachi, questioning the effectiveness of their governance over the past 18 years.
During a press conference, Naeem highlighted the dire situation faced by residents, stating, “When water is delivered to Bilawal Bhutto’s residence via tanker, it raises serious questions about what your government has been doing for nearly two decades.” He emphasized the need for immediate action to resolve the water shortages affecting millions in the city.
This criticism comes amid growing public frustration over inadequate water supply, which has become a pressing issue for Karachi’s residents. The lack of reliable access to clean water not only affects daily life but also poses significant health risks, further straining the already burdened healthcare system.
In response to these allegations, the government has promised to address the water crisis, with plans for upcoming meetings to discuss potential solutions. However, many citizens remain skeptical about the government’s commitment to resolving the issue effectively.
