Jamaat-e-Islami Calls for Retesting Top MD CAT Students to Uncover Truth

KARACHI: Manzoor Ahmed Khan, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, has called for a retest of the top 100 students from the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MD CAT) to reveal the true performance of candidates. Speaking to the media in Karachi, Khan emphasized that the results of the MD CAT, particularly in Sindh, raise serious questions about the integrity of the examination process.

Khan pointed out that while students from interior Sindh are reportedly scoring as low as 26% at NED University, the top scorers in the MD CAT are achieving significantly higher marks. He argued that a retest would clarify whether the current results accurately reflect students’ abilities or if there are underlying issues affecting the examination’s credibility.

This statement comes amid growing concerns about educational standards and fairness in the admission process for medical colleges in Pakistan. The disparity in scores has sparked debates about the effectiveness of the current testing system and its implications for aspiring medical students across the country.

Khan’s remarks have prompted calls for immediate action from educational authorities, with expectations for a review of the MD CAT procedures. Stakeholders are urging the government to ensure transparency and fairness in the admissions process to restore public confidence in the educational system.
