PESHAWAR: In a significant overhaul of its provincial bureaucracy, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, under the authority of the governor, has executed a wide-ranging transfer of administrative secretaries, divisional commissioners, and deputy commissioners. This reshuffle aims to enhance governance and improve administrative efficiency across the province.

The Human Resource Management Department (HRMD) issued a notification detailing the changes. Notably, Amjad Ali Khan has been reassigned from his role as industries secretary to become the new home and tribal affairs secretary. Similarly, Matiullah Khan, previously the secretary of the information department, will now serve as the health secretary. Other key appointments include Inayatullah Wasim, who will take over as secretary of the elementary and secondary education department, and Shahid Sohail Khan, who has been moved to the law and parliamentary affairs secretary position.

This reshuffle reflects the government’s strategy to streamline operations and address pressing issues within various departments. By placing experienced officials in critical roles, the administration aims to foster a more responsive and accountable governance structure, which is essential for meeting the needs of the citizens.

Looking ahead, the provincial government is expected to monitor the impact of these changes closely and may implement further adjustments as necessary. Stakeholders and citizens alike will be watching to see how these new appointments influence the effectiveness of public services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
