Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Highlights Industrial Growth Potential

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized the province’s significant potential for industrial development during a meeting at the Governor House on Monday. He called for a comprehensive strategy to harness this potential, aiming to create jobs and bolster the provincial economy.

During the meeting with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (EZDMC), officials presented an overview of the company’s administrative structure, achievements, and future targets. Currently, 15 economic zones are operational across the province, with plans to establish an additional seven. The company has facilitated the creation of approximately 107,000 jobs to date.

The governor’s remarks come at a crucial time as the province seeks to address challenges faced by various economic zones, including the Yaka Ghund Marble City and Katlang Economic Zone. These developments are expected to play a vital role in enhancing local employment and economic stability.

Looking ahead, the EZDMC plans to tackle existing issues within the economic zones and continue expanding its initiatives to further stimulate industrial growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The governor’s office is set to convene additional meetings to refine strategies and ensure the effective implementation of these plans.
