Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Orders Reduction in Winter Gas Loadshedding

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has directed authorities to minimize gas loadshedding for domestic consumers during the winter months. This directive comes as the region braces for colder temperatures, which typically increase the demand for heating and cooking gas.

During a meeting with officials from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, including Acting Managing Director Faisal Iqbal and Deputy Managing Director Saqib Arbab, Kundi emphasized the need for a strategic approach to ensure that households have adequate gas supply. He expressed concern over the potential hardships that prolonged gas shortages could impose on residents during the winter season.

This initiative is crucial for the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where gas shortages can severely impact daily life and economic activities. The governor’s proactive stance aims to alleviate the burden on families and support local businesses that rely on a steady gas supply for operations.

Looking ahead, the provincial government plans to hold further discussions with gas supply officials to implement effective measures and monitor the situation closely as winter approaches. Stakeholders are expected to collaborate on solutions that balance supply and demand, ensuring that the needs of the population are met.
