Kuwait Introduces New Electronic System for Employee Salary Monitoring
KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait has launched a new electronic system aimed at tightening the monitoring of employee salary payments. This initiative, introduced by the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), will ensure that all stages of salary disbursement from banks to employees are thoroughly checked.
The PAM stated that the new system is designed to enhance transparency and accountability in salary payments, addressing concerns over delayed or incomplete payments. Officials emphasized that this move is part of broader efforts to protect workers’ rights and improve labor market conditions in the country.
This development is significant for Kuwait’s workforce, particularly for expatriate workers who constitute a large portion of the labor market. By ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, the government aims to foster a more stable economic environment and enhance the overall well-being of its workers.
Looking ahead, PAM officials have indicated that they will conduct training sessions for employers on the new system. Additionally, further enhancements to labor regulations are expected as part of ongoing reforms to improve the employment landscape in Kuwait.
