NADRA and Sahiwal Education Board Sign Key Agreement for Student Registration

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has signed a significant agreement with the Sahiwal Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education on October 8, 2026. This partnership aims to integrate student registration with NADRA’s national identity database, enhancing the security and efficiency of the registration process for matriculation and intermediate students.

The agreement was formalized in a ceremony attended by officials from both organizations. A spokesperson from NADRA emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This initiative will streamline the registration process and ensure that all student data is securely managed, reducing the chances of fraud and errors in educational records.”

This development is expected to have far-reaching implications for the education sector in Pakistan. By linking student registrations to a national database, authorities aim to improve the accuracy of educational statistics and facilitate better planning and resource allocation in schools across the country. This move is also seen as a step towards modernizing the education system and enhancing transparency.

Looking ahead, both NADRA and the Sahiwal Education Board plan to implement the new registration system by the next academic year. Further discussions are scheduled to address the technical aspects of the integration and to ensure a smooth transition for students and educational institutions.
