Replace Lost CNICs

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has released a comprehensive guide for citizens on how to replace lost or damaged identity documents, including Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOPs), and Pakistan Origin Cards (POCs). This initiative aims to streamline the process and assist individuals in maintaining their identification status.

In a video posted on NADRA’s official Facebook account, the authority detailed the steps applicants need to follow. Citizens are encouraged to visit their nearest NADRA Registration Center, where they will be guided through the application process. NADRA emphasized the importance of having valid identification for accessing various services and benefits.

This move is significant for Pakistani citizens, especially those who may have lost their identification due to unforeseen circumstances. By simplifying the replacement process, NADRA aims to enhance public confidence in the system and ensure that all citizens can easily obtain their identity documents, which are crucial for voting, banking, and travel.

Looking ahead, NADRA plans to introduce additional online services to further facilitate the application process. Citizens are advised to stay updated through NADRA’s official channels for any new developments regarding identity document services.
