National Library Launches Lecture Series to Aid CSS Exam Aspirants

ISLAMABAD: The National Heritage and Culture Division has inaugurated a new lecture series at the National Library of Pakistan aimed at supporting students preparing for the Central Superior Services (CSS) examinations. The series, titled ‘Beyond the Syllabus,’ was officially launched by Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi.

The first lecture in the series, entitled ‘Knowing Pakistan: Culture, Society and the Making of an Identity,’ seeks to provide aspirants with a deeper understanding of the cultural and societal frameworks that shape the nation. Minister Khichi emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing the educational resources available to students, stating, ‘This series will not only equip students with knowledge but also inspire them to appreciate the rich heritage of Pakistan.’

This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the need for comprehensive educational support in Pakistan, particularly for competitive examinations like the CSS. By offering lectures that delve into the cultural and societal aspects of the country, the National Library aims to foster a more informed and culturally aware generation of civil servants, which is crucial for the nation’s governance and development.

Looking ahead, the National Library plans to host additional lectures covering various topics relevant to the CSS syllabus, thereby expanding its role as a pivotal educational resource. Students and educators alike are encouraged to participate in these sessions to enhance their understanding and preparation for the upcoming examinations.
