NHMP Initiates Legal Action Against Traffic Violations and Cash Scam
LAHORE: The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) has taken decisive legal action in response to serious traffic violations and a cash-dropping scam, registering three FIRs in separate incidents. The NHMP’s Motorway Central-I Zone reported that officers intercepted a vehicle near Pirmahal on the M-3, where the driver was allegedly clocked at a staggering speed of 174 km/h.
According to NHMP spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmad, the swift response by officers underscores the agency’s commitment to enforcing traffic laws and ensuring road safety. The legal proceedings against the driver are part of a broader initiative to address reckless driving and fraudulent activities that compromise public safety.
This crackdown on traffic violations and scams is crucial for maintaining order on Pakistan’s highways, which have seen a rise in both reckless driving and financial fraud. The NHMP’s actions aim to deter such behaviors, promoting safer travel for all citizens and reinforcing the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.
Moving forward, the NHMP plans to enhance its monitoring and enforcement strategies, including increased patrols and public awareness campaigns about the dangers of speeding and the consequences of financial scams. Further investigations into the cash-dropping scam are also expected, with the agency urging the public to report any suspicious activities.
