Pakistan and Sudan Sign MoU to Enhance Cybercrime Cooperation
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Sudan have reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering their collaboration in combating cybercrime. This decision was announced following high-level talks between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sudanese Interior Minister Lt Gen Babiker Samra Mustafa at the Ministry of Interior on Saturday.
The MoU is set to facilitate the exchange of expertise and training in cybercrime prevention and investigation, addressing the growing challenges posed by digital threats. Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of international cooperation in tackling cybercrime, stating, “In an increasingly interconnected world, sharing knowledge and resources is essential to safeguard our nations from cyber threats.”
This partnership is expected to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in both countries, contributing to greater security and stability. As cybercrime continues to evolve, such collaborations are crucial for protecting citizens and maintaining public trust in digital systems.
Looking ahead, both nations plan to establish a framework for ongoing dialogue and training programs, with further meetings scheduled to finalize the details of the MoU. This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations and addressing shared security concerns.
