Pakistani Job Seekers Warned as Fraudster Arrested Over Saudi Work Visas
RAWALPINDI: Pakistani citizens seeking work visas for Saudi Arabia are urged to exercise caution following the arrest of a suspect involved in a fraudulent job scheme. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Rawalpindi apprehended the individual accused of deceiving job seekers and embezzling large sums of money.
The FIA reported that the suspect lured victims with promises of lucrative employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, leading to significant financial losses for many. An official from the FIA stated, “We are committed to combating human trafficking and fraud, and this arrest is a step towards ensuring the safety of our citizens seeking employment abroad.”
This incident highlights the growing concern over employment scams targeting Pakistani workers, particularly those aspiring to work in the Gulf region. With many individuals desperate for jobs, the potential for exploitation increases, prompting authorities to intensify their efforts in monitoring and regulating overseas employment agencies.
In light of this development, the FIA plans to launch a broader investigation into similar fraudulent activities and is advising the public to verify the legitimacy of job offers before making any financial commitments. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities to the authorities to help prevent further scams.
