Pakistani Tech Firms Target US Market Amid Immigration Challenges

WASHINGTON: Pakistani technology companies are actively pursuing opportunities to expand their business with American clients by offering specialized services and products, as evolving US immigration policies complicate the movement of foreign professionals.

The potential for collaboration was highlighted during the Pakistan-US Tech Connect 2026, a day-long business networking event hosted by the Pakistani embassy on Wednesday. Sixteen Pakistani technology firms engaged with American business representatives and industry experts to explore partnerships and foster enduring commercial relationships.

This event, organized in conjunction with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and OPEN Global, showcased companies specializing in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, financial technology, and healthcare technology. The discussions underscored the growing interest in leveraging technological advancements to meet the demands of the US market.

As Pakistani tech firms seek to navigate the complexities of entering the US market, the implications for both economies could be significant. Strengthening ties between the two nations through technology could lead to enhanced economic cooperation and innovation. Future initiatives may include additional networking events and collaborative projects aimed at solidifying these partnerships.
